Role Description
Azure Cloud Solution Integrator
Houston, TX
The Commercial IT Cloud Solution Integrator bridges business, application, architecture, vendor, and enterprise cloud teams to deliver cloud transformation and application modernization initiatives from planning through production deployment and operational support.
The role applies strong Azure platform knowledge to coordinate solution implementation, remove delivery roadblocks, manage dependencies, and ensure requirements, controls, documentation, support models, and operational readiness are completed.
It supports Cloud Solution Architects and enterprise service owners; it does not own enterprise cloud architecture, networking, identity, security engineering, landing zones, or advanced infrastructure administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison among Commercial IT, business stakeholders, application teams, vendors, Cloud Solution Architects, Enterprise Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, Security, Architecture, Operations, and Service Management.
- Support cloud transformation, migration, application onboarding, and modernization initiatives from discovery and planning through implementation, cutover, handoff, and stabilization.
- Translate business and application needs into coordinated delivery activities, infrastructure dependencies, operational requirements, controls, and support-model decisions.
- Drive execution by assigning and tracking actions, dependencies, decisions, risks, issues, and escalations across accountable enterprise service teams.
Cloud Solution Delivery Responsibilities
- Partner with Cloud Solution Architects to execute priorities, technical roadmaps, implementation plans, and solution delivery objectives.
- Assess current-state business and operational processes, identify delivery and control gaps, and coordinate remediation with responsible teams.
- Develop integrated implementation plans covering environments, dependencies, access, data, interfaces, testing, change controls, cutover, rollback, and support transition.
- Coordinate environment readiness, application onboarding, deployment activities, test support, defect resolution, production readiness, and post-implementation stabilization.
- Facilitate cross-functional decisions and maintain alignment on requirements, architecture outcomes, milestones, ownership, deliverables, and acceptance criteria.
- Escalate blockers promptly, drive accountable resolution, provide concise status, decisions, risks, and business impact to leadership and stakeholders.
Governance & Operational Readiness
- Maintain plans, action logs, RAID items, decision records, delivery metrics, and stakeholder reporting.
- Coordinate architecture, security, compliance, change, release, and operational-control reviews with accountable enterprise teams.
- Ensure runbooks, support procedures, monitoring expectations, service ownership, escalation paths, recovery requirements, and knowledge transfer are complete before go-live.
- Support SOX, audit, documentation, and governance requirements without assuming ownership of specialist security, identity, network, or architecture functions.
- Identify process improvements that simplify onboarding, reduce handoff gaps, improve delivery predictability, and accelerate operational acceptance.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Azure cloud platform fundamentals, common solution patterns, deployment requirements, infrastructure dependencies, and cloud operating models.
- Experience delivering cloud migrations, application onboarding, modernization, or comparable cross-functional technology initiatives.
