Job summary
Rocket Software is seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Modernization Solutions Architect to analyze, design, and implement modernization strategies for customers’ mainframe environments. You will lead from concept to deployment, working across infrastructure, applications, and microservices modernization while aligning with DevOps practices.
The role requires hands-on technical expertise in COBOL, CICS, DB2, and cloud platforms, with travel as needed.
Qualifications
- Advanced technical degree in CS or related field.
- 4–10 years in mainframe/legacy modernization leadership.
- Experience with cloud providers and modernization tools.
- Certifications such as AWS Solution Architect or SAFe are a plus.
- Fluent English, strong communication and presentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable, high-availability modernization solutions.
- Lead technical initiatives with customer teams and SI partners.
- Create proofs of concept and pilot demonstrations.
- Deliver architecture guidance for worldwide customer engagements.
- Produce technical content for blogs, whitepapers, and conferences.
