Job summary

Kyndryl seeks an experienced Mainframe DevOps engineer to design, build and maintain toolchains for COBOL, JCL, and related technologies on IBM z/OS. You will enable source control integration, implement automated build and deployment processes, and promote modern DevOps practices across environments.

You will work with Endevor, ChangeMan and ISPW, manage promotions from DEV to PROD, and collaborate with application teams and operations.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of mainframe experience.
• 3-5+ years in Dev & Deployment / SCM / Release Engineering.
• Strong experience with: IBM z/OS environment.
• Hands-on experience with: Endevor / ChangeMan / ISPW.
• Solid understanding of: Mainframe SDLC processes.
• Build and release management
• Experience with: JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF
• Source control and promotion processes
• Knowledge of: DevOps concepts applied to mainframe
• Ability to build custom application written in assembler
• Very strong Cobol, Assembler and REXX knowledge and experience

Responsibilities

• Design, build, manage mainframe toolchains.
• Promote adoption of DevOps practices for mainframe.
• Build & Deployment Automation for mainframe.
• Develop automation using REXX, CLIST, JCL, scripting tools.
• Integrate mainframe toolchains with CI/CD pipelines.
