You will work on design, coding, testing, and debugging using COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, and AWS database services, delivering high-quality software solutions that align with business goals. The role requires collaboration with sponsors, product owners, architects, and delivery teams, and involves code reviews, unit testing, and production support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and system requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and modify mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL.
• Perform coding, component testing, assembly testing, debugging, and production support activities.
• Develop and maintain program specifications and technical documentation.
• Conduct unit testing and participate in system and user acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with business users and technical teams to ensure successful implementation of solutions.
• Support maintenance and enhancement efforts for existing applications.
• Participate in database conversion and modernization efforts as needed.
• Work under the direction of the Information Technology Office Project Manager or designated representative.
