Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Technology Consultant 2 in Pennington, NJ to contribute across the SDLC—from requirements elicitation to implementation—on mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, and JCL. You will review code, integrate features, and help design and deploy reliable software solutions for financial services clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in mainframe technologies.
• Experience in software design and development using mainframe technologies (COBOL, CICS, JCL).
• Experience in the software development life cycle.
• Experience in project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.

Responsibilities

• Document assigned parts of business requirements and guide design discussions.
• Participate in coding and integrate new features while maintaining stability.
• Conduct code reviews and manage code repositories.
• Implement test strategies and coordinate bug fixes to ensure quality.
• Develop user training materials and support frameworks for new applications.
• Resolve production issues and propose preventive strategies to improve reliability.
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities.
