Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is seeking an Automation Engineer within the Service Reliability department to enhance the reliability of our mainframe.

You will build, maintain, and optimize automation tools and workflows, collaborating with operations to reduce incidents and improve customer service. You will work in a 24/7 production environment, applying JCL, ESP, and mainframe utilities while contributing to continuous process improvements and technical documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of MVS systems experience, OS and Sysplex knowledge.
• Experience in software/infrastructure development or operations.
• Proficiency with JCL and JCLCheck.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation tools for operations platforms to reduce incidents.
• Troubleshoot issues during validation and production phases.
• Update existing processes and design new ones to optimize performance.
• Collaborate with internal customers to understand automation requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects driven by automation.
• Create quality measurements to track project improvements.
• Provide technical analysis and solutions in a 24/7 production environment.
• Build and maintain technical documentation and SOPs for break fix.
• Attend on-call rotation as needed.
