Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Systems Engineer to maintain high availability in mixed Linux and Windows environments, collaborating with engineering, operations, and release teams to keep services performant and reliable.

You will implement automation, perform root-cause analysis, and evaluate new technologies while participating in on-call rotations to resolve production issues around the clock.

Qualifications

• Linux (RedHat) experience
• Windows Server experience
• Container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Physical and virtual infrastructure
• Scripting (Python/Ruby/Go)
• Automation/configuration management (Puppet/Ansible)
• Git/Bitbucket/SVN familiarity
• Knowledge of multi-tier, highly available architectures
• Strong problem solving and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, planning and implementation of server solutions
• Tune systems for maximum availability and performance
• Automate manual tasks via scripting and development
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies/tools as needed
• Respond to and assist in production operations in a 24/7 environment
• Provide technical analysis, resolve problems, and propose solutions
• Coordinate with developers, operations staff, release engineers, and end-users
• Automate common tasks to improve efficiency and consistency
• Participate in a weekly on-call rotation for after-hours support
