Job summary

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is seeking a permanent Mailroom Technician in Sacramento County to lead mail operations and perform daily delivery tasks within the East End Complex. The position supports centralized mail services and coordinates with CDPH programs.

The role requires a valid California Class C driver’s license, Defensive Driver Certification, and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds. It is an in-office, full-time appointment under the PSD guidance.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license and current Defensive Driver Certification is required.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds as part of mailroom duties.
• Experience in mailroom or warehouse tasks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead mailroom operations and technician duties for CDPH.
• Collect mail from USPS and deliver to the Mailroom Distribution Services Center (MDSC).
• Make bulk deliveries between loading dock and programs at the East End Complex.
• Coordinate mail and delivery services for all CDPH programs in the East End Complex.
• Maintain Mailroom Machine Equipment and manage inventory of postage, materials, and supplies.
