The Department of Corrections—Goose Creek Correctional Center in Mackenzie Point, Alaska is seeking a Mail Services Courier to handle daily mail operations and inmate/staff mail processing. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Pick up mail and packages from USPS and package center; average 900 pieces daily. Bins weigh up to 50 pounds.
• Date stamp incoming mail and sort by inmate vs staff for processing, x-ray/scan as needed.
• Receive outgoing mail and determine cost-effective shipping method and apply postage.
• Maintain logs for all mail, postage meters, and inmate postage charges.
