Job summary

Sheridan is hiring for a Manufacturing Associate – Finishing/Bindery (We’ll Train You!) on a daytime 7a–7p full-time shift. You will learn to run high‑speed bindery equipment and contribute to producing books and printed materials.

Training is provided, with steady hours and room for growth in a hands‑on, team-based environment. Ideal candidates are eager to learn, reliable, and able to read and follow work orders, perform basic math, and handle materials safely.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent
• Experience operating machinery in any industry preferred
• Ability to read and comprehend work orders and safety rules
• Basic math and ability to measure with a device
• Reliable team player with pride in quality workmanship

Responsibilities

• Feed books/signatures into the machine
• Pack books into cartons
• Move materials safely to and from the workstation

What You’ll Do

• Feed books/signatures into machine
• Pack books into cartons
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation
• Perform hand operations as required
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace

What We’re Looking For

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you.
We’re looking for people who:

• Have experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem‑solving skillsAre mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

It’s a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift
• Fast‑paced, team‑oriented production floor
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
