Job summary

Sheridan is hiring for a Manufacturing Associate – Finishing/Bindery with no prior bindery experience required. Training will be provided to operate high-speed bindery equipment on a daytime shift (7a–7p) in a fast-paced print manufacturing environment. You will feed, pack, inspect, and move materials, while contributing to daily production goals and a safe, clean workspace.

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you and help you grow a long-term career with us.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• High school Diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, including adding/subtracting, and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

What We're Looking For

• High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

It's a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
