Job summary

Sheridan is hiring for Manufacturing Associate – Finishing/Bindery to train you on high-speed bindery equipment. This daytime shift runs 7a–7p on a full-time schedule, with overtime opportunities and a focus on quality and safety.

No bindery experience is required—we provide training and growth opportunities. You will operate machinery, perform supportive hand tasks, and collaborate with the team to meet daily production goals while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Basic math skills, add/subtract, and measuring.
• Basic problem-solving skills.
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools.
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements.
• Take pride in doing quality work.
• Reliable and works well with a team.

Responsibilities

• Feed books/signatures into machine.
• Pack books into cartons.
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation.

What You'll Do

• Feed books/signatures into machine

What We're Looking For

No bindery experience? No problem-we'll train you.

We're looking for people who:

• Have experience operating machineryin any industry(manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

It's a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
