Major Responsibilities

POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

• The Mail and Receiving Specialist supports the Technical Information, Administrative, and Logistics Services (TIALS) Contract, at NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, OH.
• Processes inbound and outbound USPS mail.
• Receives, inspects and processes inbound packages.
• Able to utilize various computer applications including Microsoft Office.
• Communicates with users regarding mail and packages.
• Maintains clear and concise records supporting mail and package processing.
• Ability to multitask and work in different areas of Logistics.
• Possesses strong communication skills.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

Management may relocate the Mail and Receiving Specialist within other areas of Logistics. Responsibilities include operating various delivery vehicles, managing property and inventory, and ensuring proper handling and documentation of materials and equipment.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, with possible licenses such as crane, commercial driver’s, or forklift license. Previous experience in customer service or inventory roles is desirable but not mandatory.
