Southwestern Oregon Community College in Coos Bay, OR is seeking student workers to support Mail, Print Services, and the bookstore with campus deliveries, mail sorting, shipping/logistics, and cashier duties. This role is limited to current degree-seeking students enrolled in at least 6 credits, maintaining SAP and a 2.0 GPA.

Deliver paper and packages. Binding, tabbing, folding, inserting, labeling, bulk mailings, hand collating, confidential shredding, and various duties related to department functions.

Provide and maintain a high level of customer service by assisting faculty, staff, and students regarding mail/shipping/receiving, printing, photocopiers, supplies, work orders, etc.
Sort mail.
Back up for all mailing/shipping/receiving as needed, both incoming and outgoing.
Log in all packages received by Mail and Print Services that have a tracking number.
Reconcile cash drawers and balance daily receipts, prepare reconciliation and deposit.
Alert supervisor of major errors.
Cross-reference deliveries to the Purchase Order when needed, noting delivery, serial numbers, asset tags, etc. when needed.
Distribute mail as needed.
Make campus deliveries of mail, packages, duplicating orders and paper.
Process mail forwarding and return to sender mail.
Prepare forms as required by UPS, FedEx, and USPS.
Receive and prioritize incoming calls to the bookstore and mail and print services.
Assist caller, direct to appropriate person or take and relay messages.
Assist as cashier for the bookstore.
Assist with daily sales operation in the bookstore, includes keeping shelves and sales floor well stocked, maintained, and merchandised.
Assist with end of term buyback.
Must be current degree-seeking student enrolled in at least 6 credits. Must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0.
