Job summary

Hy-Vee Market Grille is seeking a friendly Market Grille Clerk to deliver prompt customer service and prepare made-to-order foods. You will greet customers, take orders, and help manage daily food prep while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced store kitchen, follow safety procedures, and collaborate with teammates to ensure a positive guest experience. Training provided on site.

Qualifications

• No education requirement; we will provide training.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience; prior food service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service, greeting customers with a smile.
• Take orders at the Market Grille counter and answer the telephone promptly.
• Review daily orders, anticipate product needs, and prepare/replenish as necessary.
• Handle food safely and maintain a clean, sanitary work area.
• Operate the department register and handle payments when needed.
• Maintain a team environment to ensure customer satisfaction.
