Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Market Grille Clerk to be at the heart of the Market Grille, greeting customers, taking orders, and ensuring meals are prepared to high standards in a fast-paced store environment.

You will work with a team to provide friendly service, manage daily orders, monitor product freshness, and keep the work area clean. Company training and a supportive store culture help you grow.

Qualifications

• No education requirement; we will provide training.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience; prior food service experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greet customers with a smile.
• Take customer orders at the Market Grille counter and answer the telephone promptly.
• Review daily orders, anticipate product needs, and replenish as necessary.
• Pull product from cooler or freezer to prepare for cooking and ensure adequate food supply.
• Handle food safely and review the status and appearance of food for freshness at all times.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work area throughout your shift.
