Job Summary

GE Aerospace Indianapolis – The Indianapolis site manufactures complex aerospace components for a variety of applications. This position is part of the company’s growth and transformation journey in Indianapolis.

Responsibilities

• Weekend shift hours: 7am–7pm, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
• Complete machine set‑up.
• Load tools and tool holders as required.
• Perform jaw cutting and re‑cutting.
• Set fixture offsets as required.
• Verify correct tool hardware, drill length, end mills, tool diameter and radius.
• Verify accuracy of tool offset changes as needed.
• Perform periodic inspections of calibration.
• Read and process parts and conduct visual braze inspections.
• Maintain accurate work records.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments to inspect parts.
• Support the team concept and learn/perform other duties as required.
• Communicate effectively and professionally, both written and verbal.
• Follow and promote safe work practices.
• Support LEAN initiatives.
• Lift light to medium weight; work may occasionally require crouching, stooping or other awkward positions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of machining experience (CNC machining).
• Minimum age 18 at the time of joining.
• Eligible to work in the United States; must meet U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, asylee or refugee).
