RTX's Pratt & Whitney unit in Springdale, AR is seeking a Machinist Technician for the 1st shift (6:30 PM–3:00 AM). The FAA-regulated PSD facility requires adherence to safety and quality standards and offers a climate-controlled environment with opportunities for overtime after training.

The role involves operating CNC, conventional, and special-purpose machines, reading blueprints, and maintaining setup documentation.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED, with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience reading blueprints, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine machining and set-up requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate conventional, special purpose, and CNC machines to fabricate and repair metallic and non-metallic parts.
• Read blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications to determine machine and set-up requirements.
• Set-up and prepare includes:set up of fixtures, tools, attachments, and accessories.
• Operator level maintenance of machine and set up documents.
• Use micrometers, calipers, to ensure specifications are met.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
