Innomotics is seeking a Machinist (Shop Technician) in Kansas City, MO to perform precision manual machining, welding, and repair of industrial motors, generators, transformers, and rotating equipment. The role requires independent planning, interpreting engineering drawings, and maintaining high safety and quality standards.

You will support the Innomotics KCR Facility and collaborate with technicians, engineers, and supervisors on diverse repair projects.

Qualificações

Experience operating manual machining equipment in an industrial repair, maintenance, or manufacturing environment.
Ability to independently set up and perform complex machining operations.
Strong blueprint reading and precision measurement skills.
Experience with welding and mechanical component restoration.
Knowledge of shaft repair, bearing fits, alignment, and rotating equipment.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to safely handle heavy components and work effectively with technicians, engineers, and supervisors.

Responsabilidades

Set up and operate manual lathes, milling machines, boring mills, drill presses, and related equipment.
Machine, repair, and restore shafts, bearing journals, housings, sleeves, bushings, and other mechanical components.
Perform precision measurements using micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, calipers, and other inspection tools.
Interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and specifications.
Perform welding including MIG, TIG, stick, and oxy-fuel welding and component restoration.
Conduct shaft straightening, runout inspections, balancing, and related repairs.
Design or modify tooling, fixtures, and workholding devices.
Assist with disassembly, assembly, inspection, rigging, and repair of motors and other equipment.
Maintain equipment, tools, and work areas following safety and quality requirements.
