Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a machinist with manual lathes, mills, shapers, drill presses, grinders, and electroplating.
• Solid understanding of machining procedures, mechanics, mathematics, and metal properties.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Machining: Repair and fabricate components for motors, generators, pumps, turbines, and gearboxes using manual equipment.
• Electroplating: Apply electroplating processes to enhance durability.
• Blueprints & Layouts: Interpret drawings and determine procedures, dimensions, tolerances, and materials.
• Component Repair: Diagnose issues and select appropriate repair methods.
• Precision Measurement: Use micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify tolerances.
• Material Handling: Select suitable materials for fabrication.
• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues promptly.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols.
• Maintenance: Keep equipment in good condition and perform routine inspections.
