Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for operating CNC machines to fabricate parts and components according to precise specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining practices, blueprint reading, and quality control processes.

Shift hours - 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.Compensation: $30-38/hour depending on experience
Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers, etc.) to produce parts as specified in engineering drawings.

  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files to ensure accurate machining of components.

  • Load raw materials into machines and monitor machining operations to ensure optimal performance.

  • Inspect and measure finished products using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure adherence to tolerances.

  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to minimize downtime.

  • Make machine adjustments, offsets, and tool changes as required.

  • Maintain accurate production records and complete job documentation.

  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.

  • Collaborate with engineers and production staff to resolve machining issues and improve processes.

Skills / Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training in CNC machining preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience programming CNC machines.

  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

  • Ability to program CNC Mill

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Solid math skills and mechanical aptitude.

Work Environment:
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Manual dexterity and ability to use hand tools and precision instruments.

  • Tolerance for noise and exposure to machining environments.
