Job Responsibilities

• Produce parts using standard machining processes.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances, utilizing knowledge of mathematics and precision measurement instruments.
• Fabricate assemblies or subassemblies with machine tools such as saws, lathes, and milling machines.
• Make setup decisions related to the part, product, and material used.
• Inspect completed products to ensure they meet drawing and customer specifications.
• Adjust and make minor setup changes on basic machine tools and equipment.
• Align and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials onto machines.
• Monitor machine feed and speed during operation, adjusting as necessary.
• Ensure the machining area is free of hazards and all PPE is in place before starting.
• Train and assist Machinist I and II.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent; trade school diploma in Machining or related field.
• 7-9 years of experience in a machining environment.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and control machining operations.
• Experience with gauges, dials, indicators, and advanced mathematics for problem-solving.
• Knowledge of CNC programming with the ability to make minor edits.
• Proficiency in using precision measurement instruments and understanding raw materials.
• Ability to train others and ensure safety in the work area.
• Must pass drug screening; we maintain a drug-free workplace.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb stairs, lift up to 50 pounds, and handle objects with dexterity.
• Visual acuity for close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
• Work in a manufacturing environment.
