Pursuit Aerospace is seeking a Machinist II for CNC turn operations in South Windsor, CT. This 1st shift role runs 7:00am–3:30pm on site, with responsibilities covering set-ups, run-off, and adherence to blueprints while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years machining experience, strong blueprint reading, and the ability to work without sponsorship. ITAR/EAR compliance and clean record are required.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years machinist experience.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Mansioni

• Operates CNC turn machines and related equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods are already developed.
• Makes edits and adjustments to produce parts to work orders/blueprints.
• Can operate more than one machine in a cellular environment.
• Understands feeds, speeds and cutting tools and applies them appropriately.
• Inspects features to verify conformance to specifications.
• Completes paperwork on counts, scrap, time, etc., per policy.
• Keeps area and tooling clean and organized.

About the Opportunity:Operates all types of CNC Turn machines under the direction of the area supervisor or Lead Person.

Location:South Windsor, CT
This position is 100% on site. (1st shift 7:00am - 3:30pm)

Responsibilities:

• Performs set-ups and operates CNC turn machines and related equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods have been developed.
• Makes all edits and adjustments as required to produce parts to work orders/blueprint specifications/sketches.
• The ability to operate more than one machine in a cellular environment is required.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of feeds and speeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their application.
• Inspects work for all dimensional features as required.
• Produces quality and quantity of work in accordance with Company requirements.
• Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc according to Company policy.
• Maintains area, equipment, and tooling in a neat, orderly condition including operator maintenance sheets.
• Maintains coolant tanks and fills as necessary.
• Assists new and less experienced operators as requested.
• Observes all Company policies, rules, and regulations including good housekeeping, safety and security.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-4 years machinist experience
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Must be able to understand and follow instructions in English.
• Must be able to understand and interpret blueprints and sketches.
• Must have demonstrated mechanical ability.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
• Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
