Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist- Turning (Level II/III) for second shift in Malden, MA. The role requires setting up and operating CNC turning machines and coordinating with engineers to meet drawing specifications.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, 5–7 years turning experience, and US work authorization. A sign-on bonus and shift differential are included, with ITAR/EAR compliance expected.

Responsibilities

• Complete paperwork accurately (counts, scrap, time).
• Maintain area, equipment, and tooling; perform operator maintenance.

CNC Machinist- Turning

Full-time Regular Direct Manufacturing Malden, MA, US

Salary Range: $28.00 To $38.00 Hourly

We’re seeking an experienced Turning Machinist Level II or III for 2nd shifts.

We’re offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus, paid over two years, plus a 12% shift differential for 2nd shift.

About the Opportunity:

We’re looking for an experienced Turning Machinist, who has completed a CNC Machining Program that is looking to join our second shift team.

You will have the opportunity to work with inspiring team of experienced Machinists and Engineers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set Up and operates CNC turning machines and related equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods have been developed.
• Work with our Engineers and Programmers to make all edits and adjustments as required to produce parts to work orders/blueprint specifications/sketches.
• The ability to operate more than one machine in a cellular environment is required.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of feeds and speeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their application.
• Inspects work for all dimensional features as required.
• Produces quality and quantity of work in accordance with Company requirements.
• Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc. According to Company policy.
• Maintains area, equipment, and tooling in a neat, safe, orderly condition including operator maintenance sheets.
• Maintains coolant tanks and fills as necessary.
• Trains, guides, and assists other employees as required.
• Observes all Company policies, rules, and regulations including good housekeeping, safety, and security.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred.
• 5-7 years or more with Turning experience
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Able to understand and follow instructions in English.
• Able to understand and interpret blueprints and sketches.
• Understanding of G and M Codes
• Excellent Interpersonal skills

Working Conditions:

• Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
• Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
• Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to travel between locations or to suppliers up to 25% of time.
