Pursuit Aerospace in Malden, MA is seeking an experienced Machinist III to operate CNC lathes and milling machines in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. You will work from issued work orders, blueprints, and sketches to produce parts to exact specifications.

The role requires completion of a CNC Machining Program and 7+ years of CNC Machinist experience, with ITAR/EAR awareness. Onsite work with opportunities to mentor others and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred.
• 7+ years of CNC Machinist Operator experience.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship.
• Must be able to work under ITAR/EAR regulations.

Responsabilités

• Set up and operates CNC lathes and milling machines with programs, fixtures, and methods.
• Edit and adjust programs with Engineers/Programmers to meet blueprints/specifications.
• Operate more than one machine in a cellular environment.
• Understand feeds, speeds, and cutting tool applications.
• Inspect work for dimensional accuracy per specs.
• Complete paperwork for counts, scrap, time, etc. per policy.
• Maintain area, equipment, and tooling in a neat, safe condition.
• Observe safety, housekeeping, and security policies.

About the Opportunity:

We’re looking for an experienced Machinists, who has completed a CNC Machining Program. You will have the opportunity to work with inspiring team of experienced Machinists and Engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Set Up and operates CNC lathes and/or Milling machines and related equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods have been developed.
• Work with our Engineers and Programmers to make all edits and adjustments as required to produce parts to work orders/blueprint specifications/sketches.
• The ability to operate more than one machine in a cellular environment is required.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of feeds and speeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their application.
• Inspects work for all dimensional features as required.
• Produces quality and quantity of work in accordance with Company requirements.
• Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc. According to Company policy.
• Maintains area, equipment, and tooling in a neat, safe, orderly condition including operator maintenance sheets.
• Maintains coolant tanks and fills as necessary.
• Trains, guides, and assists other employees as required.
• Observes all Company policies, rules, and regulations including good housekeeping, safety, and security.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred.
• 7+ years or more as CNC Machinist Operator.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Able to understand and follow instructions in English.
• Able to understand and interpret blueprints and sketches.
• Understanding of G and M Codes
• Excellent Interpersonal skills
• Willingness to attend off-site training and be willing to learn.

Working Conditions:

• Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
• Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
• Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to travel between locations or to suppliers up to 25% of time.
