Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace is seeking an experienced CNC machinist for a 100% on-site role in Plainville, CT. You will set up and operate CNC turning and milling machines, ensuring adherence to programs, fixtures, and methods established by the area supervisor. Strong blueprint reading and blueprints interpretation skills are required.

Qualified candidates have 10+ years of machinist experience, are authorized to work in the U.S. full-time without sponsorship, and can comply with ITAR/EAR regulations.

• Authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
• Must be able to understand and interpret blueprints and sketches.

Responsibilities

• Performs set-ups and operates multiple CNC turn & mill machines and related equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods have been developed.
• The ability to operate more than one machine in a cell environment is required.
• Inspects work for all dimensional features as required.
• Produces quality and quantity of work in accordance with Company requirements.
• Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc according to Company policy.
• Observes all Company policies, rules, and regulations including good housekeeping, safety and security.

About the Opportunity

Operates all types of CNC Turning & Milling machines under the direction of the area supervisor or Lead Person.

Location

Plainville, CT - This position is 100% on site, Monday through Friday with overtime available (1st shift: 7:00am-3:30pm).

Responsibilities

• Performs set-ups and operates multiple CNC turn & mill machines and related equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods have been developed.
• The ability to operate more than one machine in a cell environment is required.
• Inspects work for all dimensional features as required.
• Produces quality and quantity of work in accordance with Company requirements.
• Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc according to Company policy.
• Performs duties always exercising good machining practices.
• Maintains area, equipment, and tooling in a neat, orderly condition including operator maintenance sheets.
• Maintains coolant tanks and fills as necessary.
• Assists new and less experienced operators as requested.
• Observes all Company policies, rules, and regulations including good housekeeping, safety and security.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 10+ years machinist experience
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience using Okuma CNC Machines
• Must be able to understand and follow instructions in English.
• Must be able to understand and interpret blueprints and sketches.
• Must have demonstrated mechanical ability.

Physical Requirements

• Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
• Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
