Job summary
Peerless Grundfos is seeking a skilled Machinist II (2nd shift) in Indianapolis to perform complete setup, programming, editing, and operation of CNC and manual machines for pump components. You will read blueprints, select fixtures, and ensure tight tolerances while mentoring teammates in a fast-paced shop floor environment.
The role requires high school equivalency and strong blueprint reading, with experience on Fanuc and related controls.
Qualifications
- Hands-on precision machinist with blueprint reading and shop math skills.
- Ability to set up and run CNC and manual equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Fanuc G-code programming and machine operation.
Responsibilities
- Set up, program (Fanuc/G Code), edit, and operate CNC machining centers, lathes, mills, and manual machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances.
- Select and align fixtures and tools; set speeds, feeds, and coolant flow.
- Monitor operations, adjust offsets and tooling to maintain quality.
- Train and mentor fellow machinists and uphold 5S, safety, quality standards.
