Job summary

Grundfos in Brookshire, Texas, is seeking a Machinist II to operate and set up manual and CNC machines, producing precision components that power Grundfos pump solutions.

You will interpret blueprints, GD&T, select tools, measure with calipers and micrometers, monitor tolerances, and deburr finished parts, while maintaining close tolerances across multiple machines. This is a 2nd shift role with flexibility to other shifts. Benefits include annual bonuses and health insurance.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with strong blueprint reading skills.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers).
• Ability to hold tight tolerances across multiple machine types.
• Strong math skills for fabrication calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform job assignments on manual and CNC machines including lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and specs to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Select, align, and secure fixtures/tools; measure reference points for machining.
• Monitor machine operations; detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions and adjust.
• Set up CNC lathes and mills with minimal program adjustments while maintaining tolerances.
• Deburr finished parts and ensure quality before advancing to next production stage.
