Job summary

Grundfos is seeking a skilled Machinist II in Houston to operate manual and CNC machines, interpreting blueprints and tolerances to produce precision components for pump solutions. You will set up fixtures, tools and measure references, ensuring tight tolerances and high quality through deburring and inspection stages.

The role requires blueprint reading, GD&T proficiency, and experience with calipers and micrometers.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented machinist with strong blueprint reading.
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers).
• Ability to hold close tolerances across multiple machines.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual and CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders) to produce components.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings and specs for tolerances.
• Set up fixtures, tools, measure references; ensure machining accuracy.
• Monitor operations for malfunctions and adjust as needed.
• Deburr and inspect parts before next production stage.
