Machinist II

dormakaba Americas – Indianapolis, IN

Shift & Compensation: Third Shift (9:30 PM – 6:00 AM) – $23–$27 per hour plus $0.75 per hour shift differential. Mandatory overtime as needed. $2,000 sign‑on bonus (details provided during interview).

Position Overview

dormakaba is seeking a Machinist II to perform machine setups, tool changes, and adjustments as necessary.

What You Will Do

Operate machine according to standard operating instructions.
Document and inspect quality of work per Quality Assurance Inspection Procedure (QAIP).
Use micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and comparator.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Extensive experience operating, setting up, and performing tool changes.
Understanding of shop math, blueprint reading, and Geometric Dimensional and Tolerance (GD&T).
Ability to perform advanced quality inspections.
Professional communication skills.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and use close vision, with or without correction.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of SAP or other enterprise systems.
Understanding of similar quality‑control concepts.
Computer proficiency and lean skills.
Documented manufacturing education/training.
