Position Summary:
Set up and operate machinery, produce, and inspect product. Assist operators to ensure parts meet specifications.
Job Responsibilities:
This role includes but is not limited to:
• Set up and operate CNC machinery.
• Assist operators with part inspection and machine adjustments.
• Inspect parts visually and dimensionally.
• Clean, maintain and calibrate CNC machines.
• Work with small parts and hold tight tolerances.
• Follow all departmental procedures and meet quality requirements.

Physical Attributes:
• Use manual dexterity to manipulate small objects.
• Lift up to 25 lbs.
Work Environment:
• General office environment and manufacturing environment.
• May be exposed to hazards associated with manufacturing equipment and tools.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 5+ years of previous experience as a machinist OR 18+ months experience in Straumann’s machinist apprentice program
• 1+ years of experience reading blueprints and performing precision measuring of parts
Preferred Qualifications:
• Graduate of a Technical or Trade School’s Machinist program
• Experience with Swiss style CNC lathes
• Prior Medical Device or Dental experience
• Attention to fine detail and high quality
