Moog in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Machinist I to manufacture high-precision components for mission-critical aerospace programs. You’ll perform CNC lathe setups and run parts to close tolerances and inspect finished work.

Required: 1 year machinist experience or CNC certification; ability to read blueprints and use micrometers and gauges; FAA Drug/Alcohol Program compliance. Eligible for a $3,500 sign-on bonus.

Competenze

• High School diploma or GED preferred but not required if English reading/writing and basic math skills are demonstrated.
• At least 1 year experience as a general machinist OR graduation from a formal manufacturing, machining, or CNC certification/training program.
• Ability to follow an escalation path as it applies to machining.
• Familiarity using measuring equipment including micrometers and dial bore gauges.
• Competency in reading and interpreting blueprints and written work instructions.
• FAA Drug & Alcohol Program enrollment is required for Safety Sensitive work.

Mansioni

• Perform set-ups and run parts on a CNC lathe with milling capabilities to close tolerances and complex geometry.
• Inspect work, set up or adjust gauging equipment, and detect deviations from blueprints.
• Interpret GD&T blueprints, sketches and operation sheets.
