Job summary

Moog in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Lathe Machinist I for 2nd shift to manufacture high-precision components for flight-critical systems. You will set up CNC lathes with milling capabilities, inspect parts, and ensure conformance to complex drawings and GD&T specs.

The role requires machining experience or CNC training, blueprints literacy, and FAA drug/alcohol program participation. A $3,500 sign-on bonus applies to eligible applicants through late 2026.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; ability to follow English instructions.
• 1 year machinist experience or CNC certification/training program completion.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T documents.
• FAA Safety Sensitive Work requirements and related program participation.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run parts on a CNC lathe with milling capabilities to tight tolerances.
• Inspect work, adjust gaging, detect deviations, and verify with drawings.
• Interpret GD&T drawings and operation sheets to maintain quality.
