Job summary

Moog seeks skilled Machinists and Finishers for 2nd and 3rd shift at Buffalo, NY. Position features hands-on work manufacturing high-precision aerospace components and a $3,500 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants.

Responsibilities include operating machines, setting up tooling, inspecting parts, and interpreting complex drawings. Prior lathe/mill/EDM experience is required; bilingual English skills beneficial.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; otherwise ability to understand and apply verbal, written and computer work instructions in English.
• At least 1 year of experience as a skilled, precision machinist in Lathe, Mill, Grind, EDM.
• At least 2 years of experience in finishing / deburring.

Responsibilities

• Follow training and work with minimal supervision, help plan work and solve problems within the cell.
• Perform machine setups ranging from simple to complex using proven processes.
• Run machines and adjust tooling to ensure quality parts are made per process and tolerances.
• Inspect all work performed, set up or adjust gauging equipment, detect anomalies, and recognize errors in blueprints and operation sheets.
• Interpret complex drawings, including GD&T blueprints, sketches and operation sheets.
