Job summary

Spuntech in Roxboro, NC seeks a skilled Machinist for a full-time day shift (Monday–Friday, 8 hours). You will fabricate, repair, and maintain components using lathes, mills, and presses while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, maintain, and repair metal objects through the operation of lathes, shapers, planers, milling machines, hydraulic presses, drill presses, and similar equipment.
• Measure work carefully by using precision tools.
• Perform milling and lathe work on pumps, valves, pistons, and other plant equipment.
• Work with maintenance team to analyze and minimize mechanical downtime and contribute to continuous process improvement.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery.
• Be available for rotating on-call duty on nights and weekends to assist production in the event of a serious mechanical breakdown.
• Keep work stations and tools clean, neat, and organized.
