Job summary

Spuntech Industries, Inc. in Roxboro, NC is seeking a skilled Machinist to fabricate, maintain, and repair metal components in the Maintenance department.

You will work safely and to quality standards, following company policies, and support the production team to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of machinist experience (or three years with machinist certification), knowledge of automated control systems, and experience on a continuous process line.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience as a machinist, or machinist certification with three years of experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Some knowledge of automated control systems.
• Experience on a continuous process manufacturing line preferred

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, maintain, and repair metal objects through operation of lathes, shapers, planers, milling machines, hydraulic presses, drill presses, and similar equipment
• Measure work carefully by using precision tools
• Support the company’s quality and safety initiatives
• Abide by job related procedures, work instructions and other guidelines
• Be available for rotating on-call duty on nights and weekends to assist production
