Job summary

S&C Electric Company is seeking a Machinist to operate automated and manual machines in a production sheet metal cell. You will read blueprints, set up equipment, and ensure parts meet quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires reading blueprints, learning machine controls, and using precise measuring tools. High school diploma or GED is required; overtime may be available based on production needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to use or learn measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial calipers, protractors and tape measures.
• Ability to learn machine controls and programs.
• High School diploma / GED.

Responsibilities

• Use of computer-controlled sheet metal processing machines to produce high-quality parts by reading and interpreting complex blueprints.
• Using simple material handling equipment and overhead cranes to handle sheet-metal stock ranging from 30 lbs. to 150 lbs.
• Inspecting parts using various measurement tools.
