S&C Electric Company in Palatine, IL is seeking a Machinist – Basic to operate both CNC and manual machines and produce precision parts for our power grid products. You will read blueprints, set up equipment, and document fabrication activities to ensure quality.

Formación

• 1+ year of demonstrated experience with the operation of manual and computer-controlled punching, cutting, forming machines, or press brakes.
• Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as calipers.
• Basic knowledge of machine controls and programs.
• Ability to read blueprints.

Responsabilidades

• Operate manual and CNC machines to fabricate parts per specifications.
• Set up machines with appropriate materials and tooling.
• Interpret blueprints and drawings to meet part requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance and report issues to ensure longevity of equipment.
• Conduct first-piece inspections and document results.
• Maintain records of fabrication activities and job progress.
