Job summary

Lakeside Manufacturing is seeking a skilled 1st Shift Machine Operator to join our team. You will set up and operate braking and punching presses, inspect parts, read blueprints, and maintain records to meet our high-quality standards.

This 4-day workweek (Mon-Thu, 10 hours) with optional overtime on Fridays offers a safety-forward, team-oriented environment with free coffee, a lunchroom, and opportunities for growth; Lakeside provides a generous benefits package including 401(k) and profit

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, plus 1-3 years related experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, tape measure, micrometer, square, and protractor.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Forklift certification required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate brake and punch press machinery and related equipment.
• Perform first piece inspection to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Read parts lists, blueprints, and drawings.
• Conduct routine maintenance per procedures and complete paperwork.
