Job summary

Lakeside Manufacturing is seeking a skilled 1st Shift Machine Operator to join our stainless steel manufacturing team. This role focuses on precision welding and assembly to meet high-quality standards and customer specs.

Work will be on a 4-day, 10-hour shift schedule (Mon-Thurs) with a 5:00 am–3:30 pm shift and overtime available on Fridays. The environment emphasizes culture, teamwork, safety, and opportunities to learn and grow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 1–3 years related experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, tape measure, micrometer, square, and protractor.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to stand and perform physical tasks, lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate small mechanical press breaks, punch presses, and related equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings; perform first piece inspections.
• Maintain routine and minor maintenance per procedures; complete paperwork.

Lakeside is currently seeking a skilled 1st Shift Machine Operator to join our dedicated team. This is a key role responsible for precision welding and assembly of stainless steel products that meet our high-quality standards and customer specifications.

Position Highlights

• Schedule: 4-day workweek – Monday through Thursday, 10-hour shifts
• Shift: 1st Shift 5:00 am - 3:30 pm
• Overtime: As needed, additional hours are available on Fridays

Primary Responsibilities

• Setup and operate all of the following machinery:
  • Small mechanical press breaks and small mechanical punch presses
  • Deburring machines
  • Straightener
  • Large shear
  • Cold saw
  • Drill table
  • Hand bender
  • Spotfacer
• Perform first piece inspection to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Read parts lists, blueprints, and drawings.
• Perform all required routine and minor maintenance activities according to Company procedures.
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma/GED equivalent, plus 1-3 years related experience
• Ability to read blueprints, tape measure, micrometer, square, and protractor.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to successfully pass forklift certification.

• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand up to 9 hours a day.
