Job summary

Lakeside Manufacturing is seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Machine Operator to join our team in Milwaukee. You will set up and operate various machinery to fabricate stainless steel carts and related products, ensuring parts meet specifications and quality standards.

The 2nd shift runs from 3:15 pm to 1:45 am, with a $2.75/hour shift premium. We offer a 4-day workweek, overtime opportunities, and a team-oriented, safety-first environment with cafe-style amenities.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma/GED equivalent, plus 1-3 years related experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, tape measure, micrometer, square, and protractor.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to successfully pass forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate small mechanical press breaks and small mechanical punch presses.
• Operates deburring machines, straightener, large shear, cold saw, drill table, hand bender, and spotfacer.
• Perform first piece inspection to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Read parts lists, blueprints, and drawings.
• Perform routine and minor maintenance per procedures.
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork and records.
