Skilled Precision Grinders Looking for GREAT Hours with Work/Life Balance?! Put your skills to use with this small company where your expertise really makes a difference!

The Advance Group is currently seeking a 1st shift Precision Grinder Machinist for a Machine Shop in Toledo, OH. The ideal candidate will possess Precision Grinding experience.

Responsibilities of the Machinist:

• Set up and operate precision grinding machines to finish components to exact specifications
• Perform manual machining operations on mills, lathes, grinding machines, saws, and various shop equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings, work instruction, and geometric tolerancing
• Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dials, and gauges
• Inspect and verify workpieces for accuracy and conformance to specs
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and keep work area clean and organized

Compensation for the Machinist:

• $25-35/hr depending on experience

Hours for the Machinist:

• Hours are Monday – Friday 8am-4:30pm

Requirements of the Machinist:

• 3+yrs experience in manual machining and precision grinding
• Experience making screws
• Strong understanding of tolerances, surface finishes, and part geometry
• Must have extensive experience using gauges and measuring devices
• Must be able to read blueprints
• Ability to perform maintenance and major repairs to equipment
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds consistently.
• Experience with micrometers, calipers, and other measuring devices
