A leading company in healthcare services seeks a skilled machinist to operate and maintain various machine tools while ensuring precision and reliability. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with various trades to fulfill production objectives. Opportunities include working third shift with responsibilities mirroring daytime operations.
Reads and interprets blueprints to plan setup and operation of all types of machine shop tools.
Plans, sets up, and operates typical machine shop machine tools, producing parts to tolerances and company specifications. Uses typical machinist's hand tools.
Operates tool room machinery in a safe manner during the build process.
Performs setup and testing of toolroom equipment under power, testing for mechanical difficulties, tracing to their sources, and correcting problems.
Makes repair parts if not commercially available or available from company central inventory stores.
Uses a full range of precision measuring and gaging tools to perform inspections before starting jobs. Performs repair, rebuilding, or overhaul work of manufacturing or service equipment from blueprints, company manufacturing manuals, and written or verbal instructions.
Frequently collaborates with other tradespersons such as tool and die makers, maintenance personnel, electricians, etc.
Treats all team members with respect and dignity.
Performs other essential functions as assigned.
