Job summary

EBARA Pumps Canada Corp. in Adelanto, CA is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Setup & Operator Machinist for a full-time permanent role on the day shift. You will program, set up, and operate CNC equipment, handling complex parts with GD&T and metrology.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of CNC experience, strong programming and troubleshooting skills, and a diligent focus on quality and safety in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with CNC programming, machine setup, and operation.
  • Strong CNC Milling and CNC Turning experience.
  • Experience with Horizontal Milling and Vertical Boring Mills is a strong asset.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and specs.
  • Knowledge of feeds, speeds, tooling selection, and metrology.
  • Experience selecting/installing tooling, fixtures, and workholding.
  • Conventional machining experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Program CNC machines to manufacture precision components.
  • Complete machine setups including tooling, fixtures, offsets, and workholding.
  • Set up and operate CNC Mills, Lathes, Horizontal Mills, and VBMs.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and specs.
  • Develop efficient machining methods to maximize productivity and quality.
  • Inspect parts with micrometers, calipers, bore gauges and height gauges.
  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production Control to resolve challenges.
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic machine care.
  • Maintain clean, safe work area and document inspections.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and machining specifications.
  • Develop efficient machining methods to maximize productivity while maintaining quality.
  • Select cutting tools, fixtures, and machining strategies appropriate for each job.
  • Inspect completed parts using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and other metrology equipment.
  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Production Control, and Supervisors to resolve manufacturing challenges.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and basic machine care.
  • Complete inspection documentation and production records.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in machining processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies, ISO Quality procedures, and environmental standards.
