Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a Machining Tech IV, Forming Press - 2nd Shift at our Fullerton, CA aerospace facility. This role sets up and operates forming presses from 60 to 700 ton and trains operators on procedures.

Responsibilities include assembling die sets, reading blueprints, using micrometers and calipers, and maintaining safety and cleanliness. Qualified candidates have 3-5 years' machining experience and high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience operating machinery.
• Previous experience with Aida, Maypress, National, Clearing.
• Ability to use inspection gauges and instruments.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturers drawings, prints, catalogs, and other written or verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates forming presses (60 to 700 ton).
• Assembles and adjusts die sets; tests for proper clearance.
• Reads blueprints and uses measuring instruments to check conformance.
• Operates machines and trains operators on procedures.
• Keeps work area clean and safe; supports other tasks as needed.
