Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for the Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location. The role will oversee machining operations, assembly and welding oversight, and manage a team of represented employees. Back shifts (2nd and 3rd) are typical for the role.

The ideal candidate has a strong machining background and proven leadership skills, with flexible scheduling and DoD eligibility. This position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• U.S. citizen and ability to obtain DoD security clearance.
• Willing to work back shifts and weekends.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production area activities to meet goals, quality, and cost targets.
• Prioritize schedules based on product introduction and equipment efficiency.
• Control capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.
• Develop schedules and manpower for assigned areas.
• Select, develop, and evaluate personnel for efficient operation.
• Supervise represented employees and administer labor agreements.
• Maintain records on labor, attendance, skills, training, and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, and work instructions.
• Plan and coordinate work assignments to support production plans.
• Develop plans to reduce backlog and balance workload.
• Lead safety, lean, 6S, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Define and implement training based on skill inventories.
• Demonstrate strong team leadership and communication.
