Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for the Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location. The role will oversee machining operations, with possible assembly or welding oversight, and handle staffing and productivity targets.

Ideal candidates have strong machining background, leadership skills, and the ability to work back shifts/weekends. Collaboration with safety, lean, and quality initiatives is essential to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' manufacturing experience.
• Engineering background is a plus.
• Four year machinist journeyman graduate is a plus.
• Knowledgeable in MasterCam and CNC Machining is a plus.
• Will be able to obtain/maintain DOD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Supervises activities in production areas to meet goals for production, quality and cost.
• Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency and materials supply.
• Controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.
• Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas.
• Selects, develops and evaluates personnel for efficient operation.
• Supervises represented employees and administers labor agreements.
• Maintains safety, housekeeping and work habit compliance.
• Ensure product is manufactured to specifications under work instructions.
• Plan and coordinate work assignments to support production plans.
• Lead lean manufacturing, 6S and quality improvement initiatives.
• Define and implement training based on skills assessments.
• Communicate objectives and results up and down the chain.
