Curtiss‑Wright Corporation in Hatfield, PA is seeking a Supervisor, Machine Shop to lead CNC and manual machining operations, ensuring efficient setup, programming, and execution across a range of equipment.

The role provides hands-on technical guidance to machinists, manages production schedules, and drives continuous improvement through mentoring and team development; onsite work with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience managing a machine shop environment is advantageous.
• Proven CNC programming, setup, and operation experience with CNC Swiss, VTL, CNC turning, and milling centers.
• Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced production setting.
• Commitment to mentoring, knowledge sharing and fostering an inclusive team culture.

Responsibilities

• Oversee CNC and manual machinists, including scheduling, task delegation, and workload management.
• Supervise direct reports: conduct performance evaluations, manage PTO, and foster professional development.
• Maintain and prioritize the production schedule to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
• Coordinate manpower and machine availability to maximize efficiency.
• Ensure all setups and machining processes adhere to quality and safety standards.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support for machining activities.
• Develop and improve machine shop procedures in line with company standards and production goals.
• Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for various machining centers.
