General Motors Corporation in Wyoming, MI seeks a Manufacturing Engineer focused on high-volume machining and grinding. You will support manufacturing operations, lead improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment and processes.

The role requires a BS in Engineering or equivalent experience and 3+ years in a manufacturing support environment, with CNC knowledge and CAD tooling proficiency. Relocation benefits are available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3+ years of experience in engineering support role in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of CNC machining equipment (ID grinding, OD grinding, drilling, milling, turning).

Responsabilités

• Ensure all manufacturing technical documentation is up to date.
• Provide technical direction to internal teams while overseeing external vendors to ensure manufacturing processes, equipment, and solutions meet quality, efficiency, and production requirements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive problem-solving initiatives, including improving equipment efficiency, resolving downtime events, and addressing customer quality concerns.
• Provide day-to-day support of manufacturing operations and maintenance.
• Participate in identifying and/or resolving safety and ergonomics issues.
• Facilitate or deliver training for team members and maintenance personnel, while also developing technical training manuals and work instructions as needed.
• Participate in project planning and coordination to ensure tasks are completed on schedule and within budget.
