Job summary

ATC Drivetrain in Oklahoma City seeks a seasoned Machining Specialist to support engineering and operations, ensuring product conformance to customer specs while meeting production demands. You will maintain engineering records and drive improvements across CNC, general machining, and CMM processes.

The role requires an associate degree (or equivalent) with extensive hands-on machining experience, GD&T proficiency, and familiarity with PFMEA and control plans.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent required with extensive machining experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment focused on CNC, CMM, and fixtures.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and IATF 16949 quality systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Initiates Engineering Change Requests for machining processes.
  • Develops PFMEA, Control Plan, and operating instructions.
  • Oversees first article samples and capability studies.
  • Reviews customer or contract documentation for machining requirements.
  • Drives continuous improvement to boost uptime and reduce cycle times.
  • Ensures compliance with IATF 16949.
  • Interprets GD&T on OE drawings for reclaim projects.
  • Programs and operates CMM and coordinates with design on fixtures.
  • Provides project management from concept to realization.
  • Manages machining staff for CNC, general machining, and CMM tooling.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Associate's degree or equivalent
Ten years related experience

CAM software (Inventor CAM, Fusion 360)
Hexagon PC-DMIS
FANUC CNC controller
Zoller tool setup & management
Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing
